beka
Beka resides in Florida with her husband (a retired Senior Officer of Grumman Corporation on Long Island). Three of their four adult children are now married and all are out of the nest, but they fly back and we make sure the nest expands whenever they want to come “home”. Both our two daughters are wives of ordained preachers. The first son-in-law is a Baptist Pastor in Marshall, VA. They are not only full time Pastor and wife, but full time parents to their own 4 children. Our son-in-law Ryan is pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian church in Inverness, FL, where he and daughter Jennifer are involved in their church family, and doing an excellent job of parenting their 3 daughters. Our son Douglas teaches high school history in a Christian school here in Florida, and his wife teaches math in the Junior High of a private school. They have one son, Dillon who is now 2 and a very handsome young man. Our youngest is still single but bought a home and works long hours to pay his bills and still manages to have fun and keep us wondering what he is going to do when he grows up Ray and I are members of Spring Hill Baptist church and both keep up with being part of the body of Christ in this growing work in our town. I am no longer teaching full-time, so you all get to see my typing in the channel! God saved me when I was a six year old and he has never failed me yet! I feel that what I do here on earth is insignificant in comparison to what others can and have done, but I am in awe that God would use me at all, and so I determine to serve Him with my heart as long as He lends me breath. I have many friends in # apologetics and love meeting new people as well. I enjoy the time I spend in the room and pray that I will be a godly example to all that dare to enter!

Bill^mIRC
Bill^mIRC has no
college degree but did attend Los Angeles City College, Santa
Monica Junior College, Pasadena City College, Los Angeles State
College, the University of Arizona, and Los Angeles Trade Tech.
This rambling academic adventure only goes to prove the old saw:
"if at first you don't succeed…." And by trying trying again,
Bill^mIRC succeeded in finding out that he was not suited to the
academic life! In the United States Army, Bill^mIRC was
stationed in both Turkey and France (before Charles de Gaulle
kicked him out) and he has traveled to London, Paris, Rome,
Athens, and Jerusalem (when it was still under the rule of the
Kingdom of Jordan.) He was baptized at the First Presbyterian
Church in Albany, New York in 1938. Since then, Bill^mIRC has
been in the Charismatic movement at Melodyland,
where someone recommended Calvinism to him as
systematic theology. In response, he spent two years studying
the Institutes of Christian Religion from cover to cover.
Philosophically, he is Aristotelian and loves the scholarship of
Thomas Aquinas. Recently, he has been looking at
Presuppostionalism and Van Til --interesting stuff!

Captwade is a
pastor in the
Evangelical Free
Church of America and
a part-time doctoral student at
Trinity Evangelical Divinity
School. In addition
to his love of theology, apologetics, and philosophy,
he also is interested in the theory and practice of
counseling. He is committed to the sufficiecy of
Scripture for dealing with the problems of life and is
concerned that many American Christians are much more
conversant in therapeutic/psychological terms and
categories than in biblical/theological ones. Among
the authors to whom he is grateful for their impact on
his life and thought are Francis Schaeffer, C.S.
Lewis, Jonathan Edwards, John Piper, Cornelius Van Til,

Charis
In managing we dub him fit,
We know his firmness and his wit.
A Calvinist so strong
& mighty,
Never quavers or gets flighty.
In every way so
staunch and firm,
A mighty man , no mouse – no worm.
Salvation
doctrines-He’s elected,
No free will him, no unexpected
No fly by night, not
old and rusted
He’s vigorous, and to be trusted.

Emanon
Emanon is a
chemist who, at the age of 26, came to understand and
accept the amazing gift of salvation offered by Jesus
Christ. This was accomplished by God's grace and with
the patience and love of his soon-to-be bride and some
wonderful Southern Baptist believers in Houston, TX. He
finds it hard to believe that he has been a believer
(and husband!) for almost 20 years now. He is presently
reformed in his theology and is a member of Westminster
Orthodox Presbyterian Church
in Johnstown, PA. He enjoys reading and discussing all
aspects of theology and apologetics. He has been
involved in various Christian activities such as prison
evangelism, Operation Rescue and side-walk counseling,
and has been banging around bulletin boards or the
Internet with evangelical intentions (if not results)
for 15 years. His other interests include jogging and
listening to Old English/Irish music.

JNDarby
1 Thess 1:14
Knowing beloved
brethren your election of God.
God was very gracious to JNDarby
and his wife Anne (aka ^Just^), calling them both on the very
same night. JNDarby was brought up a Roman Catholic and then
became an atheist in his twenties. He came to know the Savior
some years later when invited by an employee friend to an
evangelistic meeting. His intention was to go to the meeting,
fullfill his obligation, and get out of the gospel hall as soon
as possible. But the Sovereign God had other plans
that night, and instead of fleeing, JNDarby and ^Just^, by God's
grace, obtained an inheritance, having been predestined
according to the purpose of him who works all things according
to the counsel of his own will. Saved in a brethren
meeting (sometimes referred to as
Plymouth
Brethren) in 1976, JNDarby and ^Just^ have continued in
happy fellowship with the brethren and now work with a small
meeting of saints in Union, Maine.

but is a retired
Army
officer (MP Corps) having served in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana,
New York, Texas, Korea and Vietnam. He holds the Bible as his
only creed. He is neither HIGH nor LOW church; rather non-denominational
believing that Jesus puts all those He has saved into His
church. He is turned off by church politics and willingly
fellowships all baptized believers of our Lord Jesus Christ. He
likes telling people of the radical change a risen Christ has
made in his life. He believes all men can be saved if they will
but believe. And, for that reason, he is willing to give anyone
who asks a reason for his faith in that Man from Galilee.
Finally, he believes the RAPTURE (from the Latin Vulgate) will
come soon. Praise Jesus!

Larryboy
Larryboy (aka Chemnitz) lives in the Detroit
area with his wife Lois, his teenage son, Adam and his three
year old daughter Hannah Elizabeth. He is a member of St. Thomas
Lutheran Church, Eastpointe, Michigan (LC-MS)
but admits to having Reformed connections inasmuch as he was
once a member of an Orthodox Presbyterian Church
congregation. Larryboy works as a Parts Order clerk for
Yale Material Handling of Michigan. He enjoys football,
baseball, hockey and discussing traducianism with agnostics.
Larryboy firmly believes that what the Evangelical churches
desperately need is a return to the Reformation Solas. His
favorite Bible passage (as of this writing), is Romans 1:16-17:
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is
the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to
the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the
righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is
written, The just shall live by faith." (KJV)

Nomos is a wandering gypsy who finds himself currently in
the Land of Oz, where he studies syntax at a state university
that once had a great basketball team. He was born in Minnesota

of dual citizenship. When not running late for classes, Nomos
works for a company that sells British sport car parts to the
mechanically cursed of the world (and if you own a British car
you'll know what this means). He intends to stay with this
company for as long as he can continue to read there
uninterupted for hours at a time. Nomos spends the majority of
his time reading and is particularly interested in debate,
especially from a presuppositional perspective. Nomos has no
denominational affiliation but has spent most of his Christian
years with a group which is frequently referred to as the 'Plymouth
Brethren'.

in a relentless effort to integrate and ground all things into one coherent gospel context that is centered at once both on and in Christ Jesus. Ryft loves debate but every encounter is always engaged with a persistent intent toward the edification and equipment of his brethren in Christ.

StevenD
Steven desiring to
understand more of the faith God had given him, happened upon a
broadcast of The Bible Answer Man radio program on his
way from work one night. That program catapulted him into the
realm of apologetics. Surfing through the Undernet, searching
for Christian related channels, StevenD came into #apologetics
and discovered the possible application of his personal studies.
With the wide range of topics being discussed, StevenD went more
in depth into his study to try and find the answers to the
questions visitors and regulars alike posted in the channel. His
studies then led him to what some call the "Reformed"
faith a.k.a. "Calvinism". Upon much discussion and
prayer, Steven has accepted the position that
TULIP
represents.
Being a graphic designer since his early childhood, StevenD
finds that the Argument of God from Design is his argument of
choice. Realizing that the argument is not a "proof"
for God and that it is God Himself who enables a person to
respond to Him, StevenD will still present the argument for the
benefit of those whom God converts.
StevenD defends the doctrine of God's sovereignty over His
creation (and yes that includes man's so called "free"
will), the doctrine of Christ's perfect atonement for His
people, and the idea that everything is based on a belief system
in the general sense. Ever studying and praying for more wisdom,
StevenD welcomes you to discuss your concerns with him, if you
so desire.
